W/E 6/19/11
I had a super fun time in NYC with my girlfriends this weekend. I stayed two nights in Brooklyn and one night at a hotel on the Lower East Side. I loved being able to spend time in NYC with people who actually live there! My friends were able to take me directly to the fun places and I didn't have to wander around like a tourist. I really enjoyed Brooklyn, particularly Williamsburg where I stayed. Parts of it reminded me of Seattle or Portland. I liked how relaxed it felt and seemed to have a sense of community. If I had to live in NYC, I could see myself in that area.

I feel like someone who's wandered upon one of the seven wonders of the world. A wonder that no man or woman has ever seen before.
It's taking every fiber of will in my being to resist the impulse to tell the whole world about this beautiful place I like to call Sophie Land.
