Mad Men

I am pretty excited about the premiere of Mad Men tonight. I will definitely be making a few Old Fashioneds for us to drink but I would also like to make some sort of food dish that goes with the Mad Men theme.

Is it strange that laundry detergent gets me excited?

I am on the Mrs. Meyers mailing list (don't ask me how this happened) and I got an e-mail that they are making a new concentrated laundry detergent! I have been using the Method concentrated detergent for a long time and I am a big fan but I am excited to switch it up. We don't have a washing machine in our unit and we live on the upper floor, so it is nice to not have to lug a huge jug of detergent down the stairs to do a load of laundry. I also like that Mrs. Meyers products are biodegradable, phosphate free and are scented with essential oils.

It is a beautiful day in Los Angeles! I spent the morning cleaning my apartment and now I am off to run some errands. 

Have you ever used Mr. Clean Magic Erasers? They are truly amazing. I use them to clean so many things that would otherwise be a pain in the ass. Walls, shower, grimy oven, furniture, cabinets, ceiling, they work for everything. I usually buy the Target Brand and they were just as well.

I picked up Elf this weekend at T.J Maxx for $5.99! Best money I ever spent. We have basically had the movie on repeat since we bought it, it is the perfect movie to have on in the background while you tinker around the house.

As I previously posted, we were lucky enough to have our apartment that featured on Apartment Therapy.com. Yesterday someone told me that they were using a photo from our tour in a new post! The post was about the biggest purchase people had made for their homes and what items they paid full price for. They used the quote from when I said that our couch was our biggest indulgence when decorating our apartment. We still love our couch.
